When we’re trying to lose weight it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information we are fed. The Internet is awash with top tips and a barrage of ‘inspo’ photos, so in order to reach our own goals we turn to diet pills and quick fix diet drinks and foods. These products flood the market all promising to deliver the illusive ‘miracle diet’, but they come at a cost. Most are not sustainable, expensive, full of hidden nasties and quite frankly boring! Drinking three cans of sugary low-calorie milkshake a day whilst sat for eight hours behind a desk isn’t going to get us abs of steel and no amount of celebrity endorsements popping up on our screens promoting the latest diet craze will help us drop a dress size. The only way to lose fat and to keep it off is to change our lifestyle and the way we think about food. And this is where Joe has got it right. His message is quite simple; eat right and exercise often. Sure, we have heard it all before, but for some reason millions of us are still struggling with our weight. One in four UK adults are now considered overweight with a BMI of 25 to 29.9.

Prepping like a boss

So what is it about Joe that has suddenly got us all listening? Accessibility. Anyone can do Joe’s healthy eating plan because it isn’t restrictive and unattainable. It isn’t boring or repetitive and more importantly it isn’t timely. In our busy lives diets can often take a back seat and reaching for a readymade dinner, or a bag of crisps is far easier and quicker than slaving away in the kitchen. Joe’s Lean in 15 programme provides quick, healthy and wholesome foods full of all the right stuff that can be prepared and often batch cooked in 15 minutes or under; so really there is no excuse. He champions “prepping like a boss” in order to make sure you don’t fall off the bandwagon mid-week and it is a concept that is catching on, social media is full of photos sporting the #foodprep and I myself am a massive fan as it allows me to ensure I always have good healthy food to hand for lunch and dinner. He also isn’t afraid of fat. When embarking on a diet we tend to fear fats and cut them out straight away, depriving ourselves, which often leads to a binge later on. Joe believes that we need to eat fat; in moderation and he also believes that we should never go hungry. With Joe’s programme you will be eating more food than ever and will be feeling fuller for longer, meaning that you won’t be tempted to reach for the biscuit tin come 3pm. His stress-free recipes are not only easy to follow but they are also delicious and if you add in his suggested 25 minute HIT workouts as little as three times a week you are bound to see more results than you ever would by starving yourself for a week, only to then lose all motivation when the ‘sad step’, AKA scales, deliver the dreaded news: 0lbs lost!
