The best six friends that anyone could have are finally coming back to our screens for one last time, after 12 years of devoted fans hoping and praying for at least one more episode, or maybe even a feature film, the news of all six cast members coming together next month to film a ‘TV special’ is exciting by any means. Although NBC have not confirmed it as a ‘Friends reunion’ there’s no denying how much hype there will be around the episode – and let’s be real, if the original cast are getting together what else would they be filming!?
Their popularity and screen time over the years far exceeds that of the 9 seasons they had between 1995 and 2004. Since then re-runs have continued to grace our screens, never failing to be there when we need them. Whether as a mid morning pick-me-up, or a late evening chuckle before bed, we’ve loved them at their worst and their best. 
From the very first episode to the tear jerking finale, we’ve been on the journey of their lives; we’ve watched them grow, fall in love, have their hearts broken and stick together through it all. As such an iconic era in television it’s no surprise that executives want to bring it back – it will of course be an instant hit, but for the fans it’s so much more. So in celebration of their exciting return we’re looking back at some of the best Friends moments of all time…
10. Turkey Head
Joey getting his head stuck in a Turkey is probably one of the most memorable moments in Friends history; but the best thing about this scene? When Monica walks in and Phoebe starts to busy herself by ‘preparing it’ with herbs in hopes that Monica won’t notice that it is in fact attached to Joey.
9. Joey’s Body Positivity
It doesn’t take a genius to work out just how much our Italian Stallion loves his food, but with his passion for food also comes a body positivity that we ourselves wish we had. He loves his pizza and he likes his curves – we are team Tribbiani!
8. The Leather Pants
Every single one of us at some point in our lives has had a major fashion faux pas, but Ross’ leather pants ordeal is the stuff of nightmares. There was literally no way out; no tactful excuse or crafty cover up. Ross had to face reality and more embarrassingly the girl waiting just outside the door.
7. Monica’s ‘Fuller’ Figure
If there’s one thing that stands out as a Friend’s masterpiece it’s their frequent use and beautiful execution of flashbacks. And Monica’s ‘larger’ past is one of the main themes – a hilarious juxtaposition to the slender and obsessive character she became.
6. PIVOT!
We’ve all been here…we’re stressed, moving house or even just one room over and everything is larger than you originally thought. That gap you once convinced yourself that you’ll get your sofa through is now shrinking before your eyes, but instead of admitting defeat you try anyway.
5. Wedding Dresses
Rachel is upset that Ross – the potential love of her life – is about to marry Emily. Little does she know at this point that Ross will accidentally say Rachel’s name at the altar. Everyone felt sorry for Emily for about 0.5 seconds because HELLO…ROSS JUST SAID RACHEL’S NAME!!
4. Thanksgiving Football Game
We learn the extent of the Geller’s fierce competition – foul play and name calling are rife in this game of American football and there’s no wonder with the Geller Cup to play for.
3. The Routine
Monica and Ross’ brother/sister relationship takes another strange turn as yet again we come to see their extreme competitive side. But this time they were on the same team. God help us all.

Smelly Cat is the anthem to our lives. All we’re saying is that if Phoebe realised an album, we’d but it!
1. He’s her lobster!
After Rachel learns that Ross has gone to great lengths in an attempt to make her happy – she realises that she has often overlooked Ross’ affection for her and fans rejoice in their reunion. After all, lobsters mate for life.
