The Fragrance Box

It has to be said that we are most definitely a nation of shoppers. But for some unfathomable reason when it comes to perfume each and every one of us will undoubtedly delay its purchase until one of three occasions: a birthday, a holiday or Christmas. Obviously we all agree that it’s nice to smell nice so why are we so against handing over the cold hard cash unless there’s a hefty duty free discount involved?

Launched in October 2015, The Fragrance Box is quite possibly the answer to our prayers, hoping to become the “Graze Box of the fragrance world”. For an introductory price of just £10 a month The Fragrance Box will send you a monthly box filled with niche and exclusive fragrances sourced from perfume houses all over the world. Each monthly box of exclusive smells are selected based on monthly themes, making each and every Fragrance Box you receive exciting and unique.    

With six delectable mini fragrances on offer as part of the ‘Winter Warmers’ collection we couldn’t wait to get nose deep in our very own little fragrance box… 

ITISDREAM

A firm favourite at Semple HQ was Salvador Dali’s ITISDREAM created by perfumer Michel Almairac. Fresh and delicate but yet surprisingly full bodied, ITISDREAM is a perfect all round perfume. Fruity top notes of blackcurrant and grapefruit give way to hyacinth heart notes and a musky amber base.

Ombre Rose

Fragile, youthful and sweet, Jean-Charles Brosseau’s Ombre Rose is femininity in a bottle. The delicate nature of the fragrance lends itself perfectly to women that prefer a subtle scent. Top notes of peach and Brazilian rosewood marry perfectly with sandalwood, lily of the valley, and honey, cinnamon base notes.

Casta Diva 

Wintery green notes of ylang-ylang and jasmine make up the crisp and refreshing scent of Casta Diva. Base notes of oakmoss and vanilla make this the ideal scent for those that prefer a more invigorating natural scent as apposed to floral or fruity accents.

La Danza delle Libellule

Festive and oh so sweet, La Danza delle Libellule is a warming fragrance that evokes memories of mulled wine and cosy nights in. From heart notes of cedar wood and cinnamon to musk, vanilla and coconut base aromas, this fragrance is the perfect winter warmer.

Odd Rush

Described as fresh and ambiguous, Odd Rush by Signature Fragrances London isn’t a scent for the faint hearted. Subtle fruity top notes of peach, apricot and mango are blended with powerful florals notes of geranium and lily of the valley to create a complex full bodied fragrance.

Alahine

Be transported to the orient with just one spritz of Alahine by the French house of Teo Cabanel. Citrus top notes of bergamot and ylang-ylang are offset perfectly by floral scents of traditional Moroccan rose and jasmine.
