It’s that time of year again, kids and students are going back to school and university, and for me it’ll be my last year! But whether you’re in education or not, it’s never too late to learn. So this September I feel it’s my duty to take you back to school and educate you on this Autumn’s must have sneakers. Not only do Vans Old Skool’s look cool, since 1978 they’ve encaptured California’s early skate and surf scene flawlessly, but don’t worry you don’t have to be a skater dude to rock this look you just have to have the attitude. So chill out man!

This year Liberty of London once again collaborated with Vans to create some stunning sneakers, their blue and white floral baroque-inspired print is classic as well as contemporary, and at just £55 they could soon become a staple of your AW wardrobe and rightly so….just look at them they’re beautiful, now I know I’m biased as I’m a self-confessed sneaker freak but anyone that says they aren’t pretty are just lying to themselves. But if daring prints aren’t for you, their classic timeless designs will have you wondering why you haven’t bought any sooner. Their True White colourway would look great with this seasons must have ripped black skinny jeans teamed with a comfy jumper and your new winter coat, perfect for coffee dates with girlfriends or relaxed weekend shopping trips. Because let’s face it, you can’t be glam 24/7 and by the end of the working week you’re up to your eyes with smart office wear.

For a more wintery look, why not go for the Old Skool’s big brother the SK8 Hi’s to keep your feet and ankles warmer in the frosty mornings; with extra padding and Vans’ iconic waffle sole, it’ll be as if you’ve still got your slippers on a.k.a ‘the dream’. Vans leather Black Leopard and White Snow Leopard would be perfect for the wet weather we are sure to endure over the winter months, replacing the same old boring leather boots you buy every year – you know, the ones that hurt your heel.

Vans love a collaboration and one to look out for is their teaming up with MTE shoes bringing you a pair of sneakers that will rival the long reigning champions of the go-to winter boot the trusty Timberland – these are sure to keep your toes toasty with their heat retention layer and fleece linings, as well as Scotchguard treated uppers and a brand new lug outsole that echoes 20 years of snow boot history. So whether you prefer classic colours and styles or if you want a splash of colour and originality you can’t deny that Vans really do have their styles on point this coming season, so don’t be afraid to go back to Skool!
