When browsing the internet day to day I find that cosmetic promotions and makeup tutorials are absolutely everywhere I look. It seems that the world has become obsessed with makeup products, learning how to apply them and ensuring that they have the best that the market has to offer in order to make themselves feel beautiful.
I find it very inspiring to watch talented mua’s at work and see the whole process as a form of art. So it comes as no surprise to me that makeup has become so popular with many other men and women clearly agreeing with my sentiment. Many of us see makeup as such an important part of our appearance, giving us a sense of self confidence; and not only do we enjoy the process but we love to learn new tricks and tips.
The younger generation even seem to be obsessed with makeup from a surprisingly early age as the concept becomes a fashion trend in itself. As young teens’ lives become increasingly online dependant their obsession comes as no surprise, with every social media platform and website infiltrated with a barrage of the latest makeup must haves. When I was younger I would apply some pink eyeshadow and a bit of lip gloss and that would be the lot, long before the ‘Cara D’ brow, precision applied winged eyeliner, and contouring became everyday makeup staples.

Makeup, like everything out there, seems to be ever-changing and constantly evolving. And while we try in vain to keep up, by the time we’ve perfected the ‘latest’ craze it’s more often than not already old news.
