Some of you will know me as Editor of Semple, but as of today I have officially relinquished my position. After five wonderful years at Semple I left for the last time on Friday. During my time at Semple I have grown from a shy intern to a proud and confident Editor. It’s been an amazing roller coaster journey on which I have learnt so much, not only about the industry but about myself. Yet despite my successes at Semple and my love for my job I couldn’t quench my thirst for something more.
Life is inherently risky. But really there is only one big risk that you should avoid at all costs, and that is the risk of doing nothing. It was with that in mind that I made the decision to quit my job and pack my bags in favour of an adventure.
Today marks the first day of that adventure as my boyfriend and I leave London for Delhi. From there we will make our way around the world exploring and no doubt learning as we go. I’m both excited and nervous to leave, to get out of my comfort zone, to let go and grab life with both hands and see where I end up. Sure it’s scary – that’s the point. Life is really scary, risky and unpredictable but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t live it everyday.
Follow me around the world through my blogs and musings. Until then, I’ll see you all soon Semple x
