One of the things I love most about the summer is the simplicity and ease to have a good day. The sun is shining; people are smiling at every passing corner. Days effortlessly turn into beautiful summers nights and weekends feel that little bit more special.
If you like to explore and spend a lazy afternoon having a post-lunch stroll, or fancy doing something different and maybe enjoy an ice cream (or five) here are some great spots to consider. They are all easy to reach places and offer you beautiful sights and scenery and you can spend as little or as long as you want in each area.
Richmond Park
I didn’t even know this marvelous place existed, until I very recently explored it myself. There is sun, grass and even actual deer! What a beautiful location to walk off your lunch, take some snaps and spend some time with friends and family. Easily accessible by train or tube you’ll find it hard to imagine that you are not too far from the city life that continues to boil over in the background. This is such a lovely scenic park to get lost in. Enjoy!
Hampstead Heath
Probably one of my top 3 benches in London, if ranking benches was actually a thing of course! Hampstead Heath is a romantic open space decorated with enchanting pathways, lazy trees and captivating views. Whether you want to eat, walk, swim or just bring a picnic and find a spot to waste the entire day in, Hampstead Heath is perfect for everyone.
Regent’s Park
So, last weekend my boyfriend decided it would be fun to rent out a paddle boat at Regent’s Park. I decided we should rent out a rowing boat instead, mainly because neither of us had ever rowed before. I soon found out why. We were terrible. So terrible in fact that we were advised to get out of the rowing boat and into a paddle boat. It was the funniest 30 minutes and I highly recommend the experience to anyone that fancies something different. The paddle boats can take up to four people and you can choose a 30 or 60 minute slot.
