After the almighty build up to the big day everything tends to feel a little bleak once Christmas is all over. For most even the thought of ringing in the new year isn’t particularly appealing, so we thought we’d delve a little deeper into 2015 to find out what exciting events the next 12 months has in store for us. So here’s hoping that our top picks can drag even the most miserable festive goer from their post crimbo slumber.

Fifty Shades of Grey

After what seems like a lifetime Mr Grey is finally ready to see us, well Valentines Day to be precise, but the is wait very much nearly almost over…soon! We’ve seen just about as many racy teasers as we can handle and cannot wait for our date with Mr Grey on the silver screen. With much anticipated performances from Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson and Rita Ora, yeah we still can’t get our head round that one either, the fifty shades franchise is set to be the smash of 2015.

Brits Awards

The biggest night in UK music is almost upon us and definitely something to look forward to in 2015. The annual music awards ceremony set to take place on 25th February at the 02 Arena will see national Geordie treasures Ant and Dec take their turn at hosting while the likes of Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith have already been confirmed to perform on the night. The honour of designing the unique music trophy for the 2015 ceremony went to British artist Tracey Emin whose baby pink statue features her trademark hand-written messages as well as a large patchwork rosette.
