December has arrived and it’s officially okay to break out the Eggnog and your favourite festive jumper and start getting excited about Christmas.  The fairy lights have been switched on everywhere and it’s only a matter of time before your social diary starts to get full. Holidays are officially coming! But no sooner than you have opened the first door on your advent calendar then the panic sets in; how many shopping days until Christmas??!! Follow our Christmas countdown to make sure you have a stress free December.

Week 1

This is the week to start preparing. Get your Christmas cards in the post and start hitting the shops now to avoid the mad final rush (not to mention a dwindling bank account). Even if you do most of your shopping online it’s still a good idea to start early to avoid any last minute mail disruptions.  Now is also a great time to get some beauty treatments scheduled in for a xmas pamper; leave it any later and they will be fully booked and you will be the untidy one come party season.

Week 2

Start shopping for your Christmas party outfit. With so many events at this time of year it’s a good idea to go for a few mix and match pieces rather than one blow out party frock. This season’s trend for tailoring and co-ords will suit perfectly; swap tailored trousers for an elegant midi skirt to take you from office party to Christmas drinks with friends. Once your outfits are taken care of, you can concentrate on your home; dig out the Christmas lights and deck the halls!

Week 3

Time to stock the fridge! Even if you aren’t hosting a big Christmas dinner this year you’ll still want to make sure your fridge is fully stocked to avoid last minute supermarket madness. ‘Tis the season when impromptu parties can happen at any moment so make sure you have a few party platters in your freezer and that your alcohol cabinet is nice and full.

Week 4

Time to wear your Christmas jumper with pride! If you’ve followed our advice then by now you can relax and reap the benefits of your earlier organisation. With the presents wrapped and under the tree and a fully stocked fridge you can enjoy your pre-booked beauty treatments safe in the knowledge that you are definitely on Santa’s “nice” list and with a smug smile on your face.
