Back at the office “I had a Devil Wears Prada” moment deciding what I was going to wear for the ball. A couple of hours later, I saw myself like Carry Bradshow in “Sex in the City” running to the tube dressed like a princess and when I finally saw my date waiting for me at the Palace, I doubted for a moment if the whole thing was real: a proper fairy tale night was about to start.

Kensington Palace transformed itself to welcome a 1950 fashion party, where circle skirts, billowing shirts and powder blue tuxedos set the tone for an unforgettable night. Fashion insiders such as stylist Rebecca Roy, Jaime from Boy Meets Fashion and Rosie from The Londoner where those amongst the stylish crowd who only further embellished the already impressive location.

Ms Chameleons Mechanical Melodies, The Tootsie Rollers and Little Violet sang to liven up the night, while guests enjoyed exquisite food and cocktails, picnic style, sat amongst the green grass. A bit of dancing was followed by a romantic walk through the gardens, where couple hide from the crowd to steal a kiss. The evening perfectly encapsulated glamour and style, uniting a love of fashion at a party that celebrated summer in high-etiquette.

Lets raise a glass to a wonderful night, cheers.
