Tom Fletcher is the envy of many, guitarist and vocalist of McBusted and husband to the gorgeous Giovanna Falcone. In the last few years the power couple have stayed in the spotlight for their incredibly perfect ‘Instagramable’ life. The high school sweethearts wed in the Spring of 2012 when they shot to couple-popularity after Tom’s wedding speech went viral and since then they’ve been everybody’s OTP. (One true pairing – Google it!)
Eighteen months ago the newlyweds announced that they were expecting and the world rejoiced. Their love story is one that that has stood the test of time, survived month-long worldwide tours, and now they were starting their own family. In March last year Giovanna gave birth to baby Buzz; a homage to their love of everything Disney and Tom became one of the best dads the Internet has ever seen.
Yesterday the Fletcher family uploaded a video that immediately caught everyone’s attention, and rightly so. The Fletcher family announced they were expecting baby number 2! And I can honestly say it’s the best baby announcement I have ever seen. Anyone that’s followed their journey thus far will know a video as amazing as this is not out of the ordinary for this couple. Their ingenious and extremely creative personalities are evident in everything they do, from Tom’s music to Giovanna’s books.
One thing that struck me extremely hard whilst watching Tom and Giovanna’s baby announcement video was how lucky children these days will be, having their memories and poignant life milestones captured forever in the digital age. We moan constantly about how technology and smart phones are taking over our lives and breaking down real human contact, but how incredibly amazing it is that we can hold onto our memories in a digital form, one that we can keep, share and return to time and time again. Congratulations Fletcher family, we can’t wait to meet ‘player two’.
