A friend rang me the other evening to say that he was sitting with friends in a pub for a social catch up and during the conversation, a woman spoke excitedly about a blog that she was following with great interest. She commented on the elegance of the brand and of how she was intrigued by the concept about building a business around women and their treasured items of clothing. It transpired that she was talking about MSL!
This encounter was an amazing co-incidence; as was the invitation to celebrate BBC Children in Need campaign. The theme of fashion and bears was too interesting for us not to get involved and as you have read, we have featured Pudsey bear in our Fashion section and look forward to including more in the Your Story interview category of our blog this week. Keep watching.
MSL seems to have caught the zeitgeist and with this in mind we have launched our new luxury service Behind the Seams for Christmas 2011. Buying presents can always be a bit of a dilemma, so what better way to show that you care for someone or indeed yourself than to purchase a gift card.
Our story goes like this: every woman has a story about a treasured item of clothing because of its emotional attachment and every woman would like to know the history of that garment. Behind the Seams, documents a unique piece of fashion history about a garment and its owner within a personalised booklet. Using our MSL Fashion Journalists we undertake research using authentic sources and where possible include a quote from the designer.
We’ll keep you posted on developments but take a look at Jan Leeming and Roland Klein. They say it all!
