I can smell it in the air. The flowers are starting to bloom, people are spontaneously smiling, it can only mean one thing…flip flop season is almost upon us. For me there really is nothing better than banishing the boots and prepping my sun deprived feet for a season of sandals. No more awful blisters and aching soles, its comfort all the way from here on out; or for the next few months at least!
This season a new European brand has stolen my heart. While browsing Instagram for my daily dose of sartorial inspo I came across Ancient Greek Sandals, a range of jaw droppingly beautiful Grecian inspired footwear favoured by the likes of Beyonce SJP and even little Harper Beckham.

Founded by Nikolas Minoglou (CEO) and Christina Martini (Designer), all Ancient Greek Sandals are handmade in Greece using “traditional techniques that have existed for centuries”. Christina and Nikolas’s love for not only what they do, but also the ancient Greek history that has inspired them is evident in each and every exquisitely made pair of sandals.
“According to an Ancient Greek myth, the gods and goddesses had their sandals made on the beautiful island of Crete by a gifted sandal maker who enriched each pair with magical powers. Famous for having made the flying sandals for Hermes, the sandal maker also embellished them with his personal signature… a ‘golden wing’ buckle.”
