Halloween is just around the corner, the heating has been switched on, the leaves are starting to turn and autumn fashion is in full swing. This is a favourite season for so many, myself included. It’s a time for hot chocolate, cosy nights in watching new boxsets on Netflix, lazy Sunday walks followed by family roast dinners and of course, lots of layers, cosy knits, woolly hats and thick socks.

The high street stores are brimming with their autumn clothing, the pretty floral dresses and leather sandals now just a distant memory of those long summer nights and BBQ-filled weekends. It’s time to wrap up warm and dare I say, look forward to the festive season.

Below are just a few of my favourite knits in gorgeous autumnal hues, available on the high street or online. Pair them with denim and simple neutrals for a perfectly seasonal colour palette which will carry you through to the colder months of winter.

topshop jumper

 Colour Block Jumper | £46Topshop

The blush pink trend of the summer is still very much appropriate for autumn and I love the mix of burgundy and dark red stripes. Just like last autumn, a high neck is still popular and does wonders to keep you cosy.

olive clothing jumper

Chain Pattern Knit Jumper | £45Olive Clothing

With its flagship store in Cheltenham and available to buy online, Olive Clothing is my go-to for chunky and colourful knitwear. The wide sleeves are reminiscent of the popular 70s trend and the colour would look great paired with a tan shearling coat.

& other stories jumper

Mohair Sweater | £65 | & Other Stories

Another go-to store for high quality knitwear, & Other Stories certainly doesn’t disappoint with this sweater which is surely the epitome of autumnal cosiness?

cos jumper

Knitted Top with Woven Skirt | £59 | Cos

The true colour of autumn, this pretty COS jumper is your perfect every day knit for pairing with jeans and ankle boots.

zara jumper

Frilled Mohair Sweater | £59.99 | Zara

One of the most popular trends of the summer, frills are sticking around for the A/W season too – added onto shirts and jumpers for a more transitional nod to the trend.
