curly hair

I love big hair. I love short curls, tight curls, loose curls, frizzy curls, untameable curls, every type of curl. Up, down, half-up or half-down, it doesn’t matter. I love curls and why not love yours, too.

For a very long time women with curly hair would spend a lot of their morning regime straightening their beautiful locks out in an attempt to de-frizz and opt for a sleeker look. We would spend quite a large amount of money on straightening treatments, GHD’s or just tying it back into a bun in an attempt to manage the fly-always. We simply just weren’t embracing our curls – until now.

Natural hair and our crazy curls are now unapologetic in nature and I couldn’t be happier. Not only for the social stance this addresses, but also for the time saved each and every morning.

To help you wear your curls out loud this summer, here are a few tips and products (that you can buy online) to give you that extra bounce.

Moroccan Oil

Moroccan Oil Intense Curl Cream

Moroccan Oil Intense Curl Cream, £23.75, Feel Unique

This leave-in conditioner will do all the work for you without that greasy feeling you often get with hair products. This is an intense cream that works to give you a wonderful shine and protect your curls at the same time.

Mixed Chicks

mixedchicks

Finally a product that works! A personal favourite of mine, this range is a great aid in helping to bring curls back to life. Continuous straightening can leave hair dry and damaged, but with the help of these products you can have your curls back in no time. Tangle free and nourishing, the Mixed Chicks range is great for anyone transitioning to natural hair.

Bumble and bumble

Bumbleandbumble

Bumble and bumble Bb Curl Conscious defining Creme, £23.50, Bumble and bumble

Bumble and bumble offer products for fine or coarse curls. A bit more expensive than other products, this conscious creme will enhance your curls while keeping them defined and healthy looking. As a range, Bumble and bumble have almost every product a curly girl needs. From shampoos and conditioners to reactivating mists and holding foams, you won’t be stuck for choice.

Shea Moisture
