With the wide array of apps on the market, we can now get fashion at our fingertips. Whether you’re after finding a new outfit, discovering the latest trends, or playing a game, you’re bound to find something both helpful and that will keep you entertained for hours at end.
I’ve put together some of the best apps on the market that you will love…
Fashion Kaleidoscope
Free – iOS, Android
We’ve all been in this scenario – ahead of you is a woman looking fabulous in a jumpsuit to die for, and you’d kill to know where it’s from so you can race off and buy it for yourself. Only problem is you’re too shy to ask them or feel it’s not quite the done thing. Fashion Kaleidoscope is your new best friend in this situation. Imagine a Shazam app for fashion, and you’re on the right track. With this app you can inconspicuously take a sneaky photo of the item in question (be careful not to get caught though, or come up with a good explanation just in case!) then track it down for yourself.
Covet
Free – iOS, Android
This is a fashion game with a difference, and one which I’m currently pretty much obsessed with. Covet makes you the fashion stylist. You create looks with pieces from real designers using money gained through entering competitions, with the chance to win virtual prizes to add to your Covet wardrobe through successful outfits, as voted for by other players. The graphics are incredible and the items vast, with the option to track down your favourite pieces easily. Lots of fun and very addictive.
Stylebook
£2.49 – iOS
If you’ve always lusted over your very own walk-in wardrobe, but are missing a mansion to house it, Stylebook is your go-to app. It allows you to upload pictures of all your favourite items of clothing and arrange them in a collage so you can quickly put looks together to see what works. It’s a handy app to accompany you on every shopping trip – unsure if you have a pair of shoes to match that gorgeous dress you’ve just seen? Whip out your phone, take a photo and match it up with footwear already in your collection. It also allows you to create outfits for upcoming events in advance without having to raid your closet – perfect for planning your summer holiday wardrobe.
Trendstop Trendtracker
Free – iOS, Android, Blackberry
Want to stay one step ahead of the fashion pack? Here’s your chance to discover emerging trends before they hit the shelves. Trendstop Trendtracker features predictions from industry insiders, along with some crazy ideas from the catwalk which are probably far too ‘out there’ to make the high street.
Beautylish
Free – iOS
Keep up-to-date with all the latest beauty trends and new products with Beautylish. This app contains an extensive library of How To guides and tutorials, along with tips on DIY beauty solutions. It has its own community and members are central to the ethos of the app, with a section called Street Spy, dedicated to how they are working the latest looks themselves.
