See in NYE in style!

See in NYE in style!

While we’re still counting down to Christmas, our thoughts are slowly turning to the imminent celebration of New Years’ Eve. We forget, don’t we, in amongst the festiveness and franticness that ensues around this time of year, that we have another special occasion happening just a week after the big day itself.

We look forward to the period between Christmas and New Year. It’s a time to relax, to spend with family – if you’re lucky enough not to be working, that is – to read that book you’ve been meaning to finish and stay in your PJs to watch yet another TV series on Netflix.

By the time New Years’ Eve rolls around then, we’re ready to don our party shoes and head out once more. To dance off the Quality Street and multiple mince pies. Whether you’re gathering around a friend’s house for games and cocktails, making a beeline for your local pub or venturing out on the town to celebrate in style, the question of what to wear is always a hot topic.

Do you go for sparkles to see in the start of 2019? Dress in a warm and comfortable outfit to head out and see the fireworks or simply get cosy for a night in with friends, family and a tempting takeaway?

Aside from the jolly 2019 headbands, the new year dress code is always open to interpretation. Much like Christmas, it really does depend on your style, budget and what you’ll be doing on the night. There’s nothing to say you can’t pop on a sparkly dress to watch the fireworks on the TV from the comfort of your home.

From the glitzy and the glam to the warm and the wonderful, I’ve picked out a few of my favourites to welcome in 2019 in style.
