London is a beautiful city. Full of narrow cobbled streets, decadent white buildings with strong pillars guarding doorways and the iconic food-nabbing pigeons. It is a city for those who suffer from wanderlust, as every street, park and square has something different to offer. Now imagine seeing all of this from above as if you were perched on a fluffy cloud. Well, the new place to be seen offers all of this and much more. Paramount Restaurant is literally London’s very own heaven.

Located just outside Tottenham court station, Paramount restaurant is located on the 32nd and 33rd floor of a sky-high building. Overlooking Oxford street, whilst providing panoramic views of London and it’s horizons, this restaurant will be in every cosmopolitan woman’s directory of top places to wine and dine.

As you ascend the building in a mirrored lift, a cocktail savvy bar and delicious pre dinner snacks greet you. The cocktail menu offers both cocktails to suit the sweet and sour tooth, presented in a way that is worth a photo on instagram.

Paramount’s menu is too tempting not to look at before your visit, but I would recommend saving your dinner decision making process until you are sat by the side of a floor length window, indulging in the spectacle of lights and daily goings on of London life. With a range of fine cut meats, freshly sourced fish and Italian inspired pasta dishes, the menu will not disappoint. I opted for fallow deer tartar to start, as it’s been a dish I have never seen served before, and therefore got my spontaneous side screaming. A mouth watering juicy steak with a delicate parsley topping and festive roasted pumpkin to feed my autumnal cravings followed. The service was neither beyond expectation nor below, but the food was a perfect side serving to the fantastic views of the city that never sleeps.

restWhat’s more, if you are after another casual watering hole or a destination for drinks to impress, floor 33 offers unparalleled 360 views with sumptuous seating areas and an impressive drinks menu. It is worth visiting this floor for drinks or after your meal, and serves as a perfect photo opportunity.

The Semple verdict? A city hotspot for the young professional and the city resident with cloud 9 views.
