As December begins, most people anticipate the infamous Coca Cola advert to grace our screens to inform the world that the Christmas season has officially begun. But for me there is only one thing to trigger my excitement and that is the arrival of Norpar’s Christmas Barn. Each year, it is essential to christen the festive season with my annual visit here and quite frankly, I just can’t get in the Christmas spirit without my cheeky little trip to Navestock’s very own barnyard Winter Wonderland.

Established in 1969, Norpar started out as a family run farm business, growing and drying flowers, but has since evolved into something much bigger, particularly around the Easter and Christmas holiday periods. To celebrate the changing seasons, Norpar barn is lovingly filled with festive decorations and treats which are not only perfect for creating an idyllic modern country home but make great, affordable gifts for friends and family too.

Despite its wintery surroundings, the barn’s emporium of Christmas crafts hits you with a blast of glistening colour upon entering the barn, oozing warmth and sparkle into the room. With a diverse range of Christmas decorations and wreaths on sale, there is something here for everyone no matter what your preferred colour scheme. As a self confessed jewellery junkie, my personal favourites were the multicoloured gemmed baubles on display, causing the inner magpie in me to succumb to purchase and indulge myself with a few seasonal treats.

Whether you favour the traditional hues of holly red and ivy green baubles or lust over a snow angel, Norpar will be sure to tickle your festive fancy. With its pocket money price tags, Norpar leaves me feeling not only satisfied to fulfil my Christmas fix but content at how it hasn’t broken the bank balance either. So if you happen to pass through the Essex area and want to get in the Christmas spirit, pop in and give yourself that seasonal end of year treat you no doubt fully deserve.
