My beautiful Topshop cape coat, which has seen me fashionably through three winters. Though my American Apparel disco pants are very much treasured as well.

A pastel blue floral one shouldered dress – every time I wear it I know that it fits me perfectly and that I’m getting it out for an awesome night out.

The variety of content and different perspectives always makes for an interesting read.

If you could have any dream job what would it be?
I’d love to be a successful novelist, getting to travel a lot for inspiration and then writing bestsellers from my home with lots of tea to keep me going!

Tell us a random fact?
I started to write ‘books’ when I was three and took it very seriously, even doing my own illustrations.

What is your treasured garment?
An ivory chiffon River Island pussybow blouse with bishop’s sleeves. I’d been looking for a blouse like this for ages but just couldn’t afford the ones I loved. Then I saw it on the Last Chance To Buy rail reduced to £20 and decided that I better buy it. Then I got it to the till and it was £16! I can wear it with so many things and it is the first of this kind of blouse that I bought, I found that the style suited my shape and flattered my body and it led me into a more mature sense of style. I owe a lot to this style of blouse now.

What is it about MSL you love?
I love that the fashion side of MSL is not just related to current trends, but more about real style that transcends the fashion seasons and can tell you a lot about a person. I absolutely agree that behind every treasured garment is a fascinating story.

If you could have any dream job what would it be?
My ultimate dream job would be to work as a Visual Merchandiser. I love creating displays and I love putting outfits together and this combines the two perfectly.

Tell us a random fact?
I was once a Goth and the first time I dyed my hair black, it went grey and green.

What is your treasured garment?
I’m not really sentimental about clothes as my tastes change all the time and I am pretty ruthless when clearing out my wardrobe. I did however, have an old jumper that was originally my Dad’s. He gave it to my Mum when he got tired of it and then I inherited (read: stole) it from her. It wasn’t a particularly special jumper, other than that it had made its way through the family but it was big and cosy and perfect for curling up in. I misplaced it recently, which I am sad about as none of my other jumpers quite live up to it.

What is it about MSL you love?
As I said I’m not terribly sentimental about clothes but I do love that clothes always have a story. My husband is not interested in fashion and the clothes of mine that he particularly likes tend to be the ones that mean something to him; the dress I was wearing when we got engaged or the t-shirt I wore to my first AC/DC gig with him. I love that stories like these, are the inspiration behind MSL and that we can all be part of one big fashion story.

If you could have any dream job what would it be?
I am a bit fickle when it comes to dream jobs; some days I’d love to open my own café or boutique and on other days I’d be a zookeeper, as I’d love to work around animals. The only dream job that has remained a constant daydream would be to write a book, a proper lose-yourself-completely-in-it work of fiction, but I’ve not given up on that one just yet.

Tell us a random fact?
I don’t like ice cream. A lot of people seem to find this hard truth about me difficult to deal with, but the people who love me accept me as I am.
