Despite my devoted love to film, I am nonetheless still ultimately a fashion school graduate and so my attention of late has turned to fashion week. With the large amount of Autumn/Winter 2013 collections being shown each day, it would be fair to say that it takes quite a lot to stand out. I am pleased to note however, that one particular model who has been flooding my social media outlets lately appears to have broken into the high-end world. Even better news is that this particular newbie is not just your ordinary fashion face.

If you haven’t checked your Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr or Twitter lately then you might have just managed to miss out on the bright explosion that is Chloe Norgaard. The new face of Forever 21 is best known for her ever changing multi-coloured locks, living proof that the trend for candy coloured hair is no one season wonder. Born in Los Angeles, raised in Texas, and currently residing in New York City, the twenty three year old attracts a lot of attention for her personal style as well as her work due. This is all due to her incredibly colourful, playful way of dressing, put together in an eclectic, magpie fashion with a strong freedom loving hippie undertone.

Having already been shot by the great Terry Richardson for Harper’s Bazaar (as seen above) and been filmed for Dazed and Confused magazine’s website, it is clear that Miss Norgaard is rising to the top. Recently adding a welcome flash of colour to several catwalks for the upcoming season, the fashion world has started to take even more notice of the standout model. Not only can Chloe work the hot pinks at Moschino Cheap and Chic, but has also walked for Rodarte, embracing sophisticated nude and blush tailoring. PPQ took advantage of her penchant for neon, dressing her in a block coloured halter neck bubble hem dress for their show, whilst an edgy black-clad look was shown at Nicole Miller. With London Fashion Week not over yet and Milan and Paris still to come, it remains to be seen if One Model Management has planned any further appearances for Chloe during the remaining Autumn/Winter shows.

Taking full advantage of a whole host of online platforms to share rainbow themed antics with, Chloe regularly posts on her blog The Art of Translation, alongside constantly updating her Instagram and Twitter. Visit artoftranslation.tumblr.com, instragram.com/chloenorgaard and follow @chloenorgaard if you’d like to absorb some style inspiration that will leave you craving summer. Having thousands of fans waiting to see what she will do next, the half Danish, half Polish trendsetter really does have the world at her feet. Many successful models manage to become well known within the fashion circles, but it takes something special to receive loyal recognition and a strong following. With her ability to shine through the masses, sharing her enviable lifestyle through a series of fun filled photographs, Chloe Norgaard is undeniably one to watch.
