Colour

When choosing that all important colour the key is to choose a lip liner that’s a shade darker than you lipstick to create depth of colour in the cupids bow. But always be sure to keep the same tone so as the two blend and don’t create an unsightly darker lip line! We chose Mac Creme Stick Liner in ‘Pink Treat’ and Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick in ‘La Raffinee’ as well as a Mac lip brush for application.

LinerĀ

Starting at the cupids bow – to ensure an even shape on both sides – begin to line the lip, half on and half off of your natural lip line to create a fuller effect. On your bottom lip repeat the process, always remembering to try and replica the shape of your natural lip line as much as you can, just slightly bigger.

Lipstick

Apply your chosen lipstick using a lip brush to fill in the rest of the lip, shading into the exaggerated lip line as you go to create depth of shape and colour. Three coats of lipstick should ensure durability, remembering to blot after each application. If your really after that show stopping pout then try applying concealer around you lips as an extra highlighter to really make the colour pop.
