It might not be the first store you go into and it might not be breaking any fashion boundaries but like an old friend it will be there to provide you with a purse friendly treat or pick-me-up. It’s the friend you have had since school and the friend you always fall back on. No British high street would be complete without a New Look.

Since the original store’s opening in Taunton in 1969, New Look has gone on to become one of the biggest high street brands with over 1150 stores worldwide and an impressive online empire. From the wide range of everyday basics to off-the-moment fashion, the key to the brand’s success is that they are available to everyone. No one is left out in a New Look store. From their teenage range Generation 915, launched in 1996, to maternity wear, menswear and plus sizes, New Look caters to every man and woman who would happen down their high street.

The brand itself is the home of fast fashion. No sooner has a trend hit the catwalks then it will be hitting the rails of your local New Look store. Okay so the clothes are not investment pieces for seasons to come but when you want an on trend piece at a reasonable price then this store can deliver that to you.

One area in which the brand seriously excels is their footwear. Last year New Look sold a whopping 24 pairs of shoes every minute! Whilst we all take a moment to bask in a daydream of what that amount of shoes would actually look like, it goes to show that the reliable, old friend on the high street must be doing something right. Any girl who loves shoes (is there any girl who doesn’t love shoes?) will know that for an instant yet purse friendly wardrobe update then you head to New Look to expand your shoe collection. Whether it is biker boots for the winter or the sandal of the season, New Look will have a variety of styles and colours to suit you.

So let’s stop overlooking New Look. She might not be our wildest or craziest friend but she can be relied on to give you a fashion treat or two, or even one in every colour!
