Ever wondered how Alexa Chung gets ready in the morning? How she does her make up? What her top 5 items are? Well wonder no more, as today marks the release of her new style book ‘It’. Described by some as a ‘great big enhanced selfie’ ‘It’ is a collection of memories, tips, images and drawings giving us all an insight into the world of Alexa.
I popped down to Liberty’s last night for the launch of the book where Alexa was just as down-to-earth and charming as she comes across in the book. Fearing a bad turn-out, she tweeted before the event “signing copies of my book 5-7pm at Liberty in LDN tomorrow. Keep me company? #tumbleweed” but there was no no need to worry as her fash-pack turned up in their dozens. Pixie Geldof, Laura Bailey and Henry Holland to name but a few were all on hand to celebrate with the fashionista.
Despite several paragraphs about her life and upbringing, Alexa stated that the book is “definitely not an autobiography, but it’s me writing, so in a way it will probably have that element.” What you see is what you get with ‘It’ and if you are a fan of Alexa, you will love it! I’m certainly not ashamed to say I do!
Here are a few of my favourite facts from the book…
Her favourite Spice Girl is Ginger Spice and she once dyed her hair Ginger as she thought Geri was the most beautiful woman in the world.
She once googled “How long does heartbreak last”
She never puts her clothes away and her floor is her extended wardrobe (if Alexa can do it, so can I!)
Wednesday Adams is her ultimate style icon.
She loves dinosaurs.
‘It’ is now available. Buy your copy here.
