Interior design might not be your first stop for fashion inspiration but the gorgeous new collection from print experts Eley Kishimoto, inspired by their wallpaper range, will make you wonder why you haven’t looked sooner.

Since the formation of Eley Kishimoto in the early nineties the brand has well and truly established themselves as the ‘patron saints’ of print. Their craftsmanship and intelligently designed prints soon caught the eye of designers like Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen and Louis Vuitton and could be found strutting down their catwalks. It was only a matter of time before they took the plunge to find a catwalk of their own, launching their first fashion collection in the mid-nineties. The fashion line so was successful that they have continued to produce collections seasonally ever since.

Whilst fashion might be what they are now best known for, you would be mistaken in thinking that they are purely a fashion brand. Taking their motto ‘print the world’ to heart, the company have turned their print designs to numerous different products including furniture, glassware, crockery, home furnishings and even more industrial based design work. Their many collaborations and projects have established the brand as the go-to for creative, simple and incisive design.

Last year saw the launch of the company’s first hand-printed wallpaper collection inspired by their fashion archives. This in turn has provided the inspiration for their AW15 clothing line, bringing together a celebration of home and fashion entitled ‘A Wallflower’s House Party’. Eley Kishimoto promises to take you from wall-to-toe with a capsule range of standout designs incorporating the graphic, bright and bold prints that the brand is recognised for. The collection features coats, dresses, trousers and tops and if you fall in love with the print then why not put it on your walls too by seeking out the matching wallpaper.  Who says it’s a bad thing to blend in?

This collection also sees the company collaborate with two Scottish knitwear companies, Roam and ERIBE to produce an exclusive collection of lambswool blankets and garments. ERIBE worked with the London based Eley Kishimoto to produce a capsule hand-knitted range based on two of the most iconic wallpaper designs. Their collaboration with Roam has brought their bold designs to Roam’s traditional techniques and created a range of blankets that will look chic whether they are draped over your shoulders or your sofa.
