It may be Monday be don’t be blue as it’s the start of an all new Semple Style Diary. Up this week is fashion blogger Style Peaches and we are loving her boho flair. The long sleeved stonewash denim smock dress is perfect for the currently unseasonal summer weather and the on trend black bowler gives the outfit some added panache. Peaches accessorises the outfit with some oversized mirrored sunnies and neutral mary janes.

Meet Style Peaches…

What’s a typical day in the life of Style Peaches?

As a full-time student, I try to split my time between my studies and working on my blog. This  could mean that some days I’m up to my eyes with uni work, to other days dedicated to catching up on emails and typing up blog posts. So I try to keep a rough diary on what days are best to take blog/outfit photos and typing up blog posts, in order to fit it all in.

What do you do when your not blogging?

Mainly studying! Or drafting ideas for new content to blog about. I’m one of those people who’s always thinking about what things/outfits etc. to blog about next. Additionally this could mean learning new photoshop techniques or trying out different camera settings to improve my photography skills.

Do you have a treasured garment?

Thats’ a tough one as it’s a tie between my Mulberry Bayswater handbag, which I adore for its classic shape. As well as being an item which has been top of my wish list ever since I was first introduced to Mulberry (a.k.a handbag heaven). But then there’s this vintage 1960’s dress, which I found by chance on eBay. It’s one of those items that as soon as I put it on it instantly makes me feel like I’ve taken a step back to the era, that I love all too well.

What is your best style advice?

Stay true to yourself, but also never be afraid to push the boundaries.

Who is your style inspiration?

Lately as I’ve been listening to a lot  of Fleetwood Mac.  Stevie Nicks has had a huge influence over my the way I dress, as I love her ‘free-spirt/boho’ approach to styling. Then in contrast Brigitte Bardot has been a long-time inspiration/icon of mine. So depending on my mood I could either be channeling some ‘Bardot’ or ‘Nicks’- or sometimes even both!

Where do you see yourself in ten years time?

Happily working in a career that I love and have a passion for, in a city which I adore.

What has been the biggest highlight in your career to date?

Ever since starting my blog there have been a few of those ‘pinch-me’ moments, which I’m incredibly grateful for. But last year I had the opportunity to do a nail art tutorial feature for Company Magazine, for their ‘Weekly-Edit’ app, which was a lot of fun and exciting to be a part of.

Which trends will make a return next season?

To be honest I’m not one to follow trends religiously. However I have recently become obsessed with the co-ord trend which was big over the summer. As I love the idea of wearing a matching two piece, that can easily become a statement look. Also with Autumn soon upon us, there’s something about layering chunky knits and oversized coats that makes welcoming the colder months, that much easier.

What would you like to be remembered for?

The girl who styled life as though she was a free-spirit from the sixties.
