I guess I should start by admitting that my handbags often do fall victim to food crumbs, the odd lidless pen and countless Tic Tacs, but for today’s blog I thought I’d leave those details out. ‘What’s in My Handbag’ blog posts are so common, but I have to admit I love seeing what’s in other people’s handbags. It’s so fun and nosey, isn’t it?

I’m not the best with bags. I tend to grow attached to one handbag and then I can’t contain from using it for months on end. But when I’m fishing around in the depths of my bag for a pen on a Monday morning, I do come across some interesting items, ranging from the random to pretty handy. Here are some of the items you can find lurking in my handbag…

Aromatherapy Headache Gel

Aromatherapy Headache Gel | £6.45 | Boutique Local

I came across this little pot of wonders whilst in a shop in Cornwall a while back and being someone who’s prone to headaches, it’s a purchase I’ve never once regretted. I’ve seen headlines on Google warning me of ‘the dangers of paracetamol’ too many times, so having a cool gel to rub into my temples while I’m at the office is a lifesaver sometimes. The combination of Lavender and Peppermint is so soothing, and I’ll definitely be repurchasing it on the UK online store Boutique Local soon.

SoundMAGIC Earphones

SoundMAGIC Earphones | £24.99 | Amazon

After being bought these heavenly headphones for Christmas, I cannot live without them. Being one of the top-rated UK earphones on Google, Sound Magic earphones provide that bassy surround sound you crave when you’ve just discovered a new song that you want to sing your heart out to. My earphones have a rose-tinted colour to them and the earphone wire almost resembles a shoelace, which I think is pretty cool. It also comes in a cute little black zip up case, which solves the problem of your tangled earphones getting lost in the bottom of your bag. Amazon for £29.95.

Nivea Lip Balm

Sweet Lips Gift Set | £5.00 | Nivea

A fiercely loyal user of lip balms – specifically Nivea lip balms – the Nivea Luscious Lips Gift Set is a perfect addition to my handbag. This gift set comes with around 4 lip balms, 2 in tin-versions and 2 in stick versions, gathered together in a bright pink heart box. What I tend to do is use one lip balm, which gets lost inside my handbag, and then get excited about using another one of my which also leaves its tin and ends up lost somewhere else in my bag. This little treat can be bought on the Nivea website for around £4.00.

Avene Thermal Spring Water

Avene Thermal Spring Water | £7.50 | Boots

For when my skin is particularly dry during the winter and needs a spritz, this little 50ml bottle is my best friend. This spray adds a soothing barrier to the skin and the fine mist is really refreshing. It’s also great to use if you want more of a fresh, dewy look to your face after working all day, or if you need a cool down from warm weather.

Pure Blush Mini Perfume

Pure Mini Perfume Gift Pack | £9.99 | New Look

This mini Pure Blush perfume from New Look (£9.99 for the gift pack of 4) has such a gorgeous smell to it and is handy particularly for when I forget to put perfume on in the mornings.

Twist & Pout Revo Key Rings

Twist & Pout Keychain | £17.89 | Amazon

You just knew I wasn’t going to settle with just one lip balm handbag must-have on this blog post didn’t you. A little accessory bought for me last year, this three-pack of lip balm key rings are shaped into patterned, colourful balls. I love my lip balms, but I also love a keyring accessory, and because of the shape of these, it means I have something to grab when I’ve lost my keys in the bottom of my handbag.
