Team MSL love a beautiful brand and we love to drape ourselves in jewels, so when we came across Stella and Dot we got excited. So excited, that we invited one of the brands top stylists Betsy to our office in Covent Garden for our very own trunk show.
Stella and Dot is an American company started by Stanford Business School graduate Jessica Haron, who also started the Wedding Chanel, which she successfully sold eight years. After selling up, Jessica started making her own jewellery and hosted trunk shows for her friends. With the idea for a new business Jessica met Blyth Harris, a very talent designer, and it wasn’t long until the two came together and created Stella and Dot.
The name of the company came after Jessica and Blyth decided to combine the names of their grandmothers, who were both strong independent women. The company, which see stylists hosting Stella and Dot trunk shows in clients’ homes, has now been going strong for five years in the USA. In October 2011 Stella and Dot crossed the pond to the UK where they are determined to dominate.
Stella and Dot’s ethos is clearly one that MSL favour; they strongly believe, as we do, in empowering women. Stella and Dot want all women to realise that they can control their lives and that they can be in charge of their own destiny. They spread the message that women can work when they want, earn what they want and most importantly, wear what they want. Stella and Dot offer up confident styling for confident women, and we cant get enough of them.
The attention to detail of their jewellery and the versatility of each piece means women adore Stella and Dot. This is one brand that offers up affordable luxury, that makes you feel special and the quality is clear to see.
Stella and Dot is ever evolving and we can expect to be hearing a lot more from this brand. With talks of a men’s line and a collection of leather accessories, it looks like Stella and Dot will get that world domination after all.
